The Cookie

Q: Who makes the cookies?

A: Every single Dough Re Mi cookie is hand-baked with love by Meredith (our Cookie Queen) herself. With the help of her trusty team of cookie-monsters, who assist with everything from icing and packaging to customer service.

Q: What are in your cookies?

A: We use only the freshest, quality ingredients (and an obscene amount of butter) to give our cookies maximum levels of deliciousness. We don’t use additives or pre-mixes, every cookie is made from scratch, and the only secret ingredient we add is love.

Q: What flavours are in your icing?

A: We use fondant to ice our cookies. They're just a little sweet (but not overly sweet) making them the perfect accompaniment to any one of our delicious cookies. In saying that though, if you do have a particular flavour in mind, we can absolutely make it happen and add whatever extra zing you desire!

Q: Where can I find allergen information for your cookies?

A: Under every individual product you will find a description of all the goodness that goes into each one. While we do our best to accommodate for our fellow cookie monsters, it’s important to know that all of our products are made in a kitchen where gluten, egg, soy, peanuts, tree nuts and dairy are also used on a daily basis. So despite our best efforts, all our goodies may contain traces of these ingredients.

Q: What is the shelf life of your cookies?

A: We make sure to heat seal our cookies in their packaging to maintain maximum freshness and flavour while they’re on their way to you. As a general rule:

  • Vanilla and chocolate dough based cookies (fondant range) have a shelf life of 8 -12 weeks
  • Shortbread and gingerbread 4-6 months
  • All other cookies (Chai, Rum & Raisin etc) 4-6 weeks

Once you’ve ripped open your package of deliciousness (and don’t eat them all at once – ummm ok weird), we recommend storing your cookies in an airtight container to maintain freshness for as long as possible. If you have any questions or concerns please get in touch!

Q: Do you do gluten free?

A: There are already some delicious flavours in our range (Coconut Macaroons anyone?) that doesn't contain flour, or are made with gluten free flour (and doesn’t Double Choc makes it look gooood). We’re happy to whip up additional varieties with gluten free flour, however we sadly don’t have a super-secret gluten free kitchen on hand, so all cookies may contain traces of gluten despite our best efforts.

Q: Are you still selling at markets?

A: Planning to stop by? LUCKY US! The answer is a big YES and our most regular markets are River & Wren Markets in Wagga Wagga and the Handmade Canberra Markets. If you feel like becoming a next level cookie stalker we also attend special events such as the Spring Street Festival, Fusion Festival, CMRI Christmas Fair and the some other pretty special little gigs around the Riverina. Shipping

Q: Do you ship?

A: We absolutely do! We ship nationwide, directly from our kitchen to yours. How much did we just make your day? (insert satisfied smirk here)

Q: How do you calculate shipping fees?

A: We get our shipping rates estimated from our friends at Australia Post, but we’re also happy to arrange an overnight courier service if you just can’t wait! We offer regular parcel post and also express. We only ever charge you what it costs to post, so if you’ve paid more than necessary for your delivery we’ll happily refund you the difference. Any questions on shipping, we’re here to help!

Q: How long will my order take?

A: Because we make all our cookies to order, to ensure they’re just the way you like them, we estimate 10 business days to bake, cool, decorate your cookies to perfection and ship. At those special times of year when the nation goes cookie crazy, it’s best to get your orders in early as we may close orders during extra busy times.

Q: Do you offer local delivery?

A: We like to add the personal touch to everything we do, so if you’re based in Wagga we’ll bring the delights of Dough Re Mi to your door for $7! Alternatively we can also opt to pick them up from the Wagga Information Centre on Tarcutta Street for free.

Q: Do you do gift wrapping if I purchase as a gift?

A: You want us to make our cookies that little bit EXTRA by wrapping them up for you to share?? Um, yes please! Let us know the occasion and we’ll make sure our cookies rise to it (see what we did there?).

Corporate/Custom

Q: Do you create custom designs?

A: Custom designs are our biggest dough-light! We work with a range of Australian suppliers who provide cookie cutters and stamps in custom shapes, texts, and even your company logo to really impress your clients! We’d also be more than happy to hear your ideas for new scrumptious flavours or fancy designs, so get in touch with your wishes and let’s get baking!

Q: Can I buy a Gift Card?

A: Too much cookie choice? (What a terrible problem to have) Want to share the cookie love around? Want to suck up to your boss but don't know which way their cookie crumbles? We got you!

Q: Do you cater to events?

A: Lots of people gathering to eat our cookies? Pretty much our idea of heaven! Any event you can think of, we’ll have a cookie to match the occasion. And if we don’t…we’ll create one!

A: In the Middle East, chocolate chip cookies are eaten with a knife and fork and topped with chocolate sauce. Finally, the decadence the holy choc chip deserves!
